Young people are most at risk of violence in our society and young men are most at risk from each other (Healey, 1996). In recent years the focus has been firmly on the abuse of peers or bullying , often to extremes which lead to death by suicide. The severe psychological harm caused by abusive verbal, physical and cyber-bullying can no longer be considered just a minor nuisance of the teen years. Bullies begin their careers early in life and by their adolescent years have developed a range of secretive, abusive and dangerous behaviours which harm and destroy others. Bullies cannot be ignored and their criminal behaviours are now being recognised as one of the greatest challenges facing young people today.
